On 25th April 2025, Faith Academy Second Shift came alive with creativity, talent, and environmental awareness as students celebrated World Earth Day through a vibrant lineup of activities. The event aimed to inspire students to appreciate our planet and take responsibility for its care.
Here’s a glimpse into the exciting activities held across the grades:
Class 2 & 3 – Solo Singing Competition
Young singers impressed everyone with heartfelt songs themed on Mother Earth and environmental conservation. Two students from each house took the stage, filling the air with melodies that reminded us of our duty toward the planet.
Class 4 & 5 – Banner Making Competition
With brushes, colors, and imagination in hand, students created one creative banner per house, showcasing messages of sustainability and Earth care. The teamwork and artistic flair on display were truly commendable.
Class 6 – Poetry Recitation Competition
The budding poets of Class 6 penned and recited original poems on the theme of Earth Day. Their self-expressive verses captivated the audience and judges, bringing out the deep connection between nature and humanity.
Class 7, 8 & 9 – Quiz on Our Earth, Our Planet
Students put their knowledge to the test in an engaging quiz competition. With four participants from each house, the quiz sparked excitement as teams answered questions about the environment, conservation, and climate change.
Class 10, 11 & 12 – Badminton Match
Adding a sporty twist to the celebration, senior students participated in thrilling badminton matches outside the canteen. Two players from each house competed, showcasing teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
Throughout the day, the school buzzed with energy, learning, and fun. From music and art to poetry, quizzes, and sports, each activity was thoughtfully planned to engage students at every level and remind them of their role in protecting the Earth.
