We probably know that what we eat before bedtime affects our sleep.

But do we ever realize  that our eating choices throughout the day may also affect our sleep at night? “It is difficult to determine whether these two trends are casually linked to one another however  an extensive research points to the fact that sleep and diet are interconnected.”

Studies have linked consumption of fatty fish, dairy kiwi fruits and berries with better sleep. Focus on overall healthy dietary patterns throughout the day, with a higher proportion of calories consumed in the day will surely help in getting a better sleep.  Avoiding caffeine and heavy meals before bedtime and minimizing the use of  technology can  help in  creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for sleep.
